Anick Bouchard was born in 1984 in Saguenay. Following a thirteen-year episode in Montreal, her personal, professional and academic paths are not drawn on a well-defined line. Indeed, surrounded by artists of all kinds, she discovered several facets of art that she was then able to exploit. She first did a technique in popular music and jazz in singing at Collège Lionel-Groulx in Sainte-Thérèse and at that time, she co-founded an experimental music group. It is through this multidisciplinary project that her universe in visual arts awakens and manifests itself. After several years in the performing arts, she wants to perfect her skills in the field of artistic makeup, which pushes her to take private lessons in special effects and then do a Technique in artistic makeup, fashion and beauty at Collège Interdec in Montreal. She works on fashion photo shoots for Elle Québec, Elle Canada, Simons, Marie-Claire, Aldo, Lancôme, Reitmans, etc. As a freelancer, she has worked as a chef on several theater, fashion, dance and music projects. From the Montreal Opera to film sets, she works on numerous music videos, commercials, web series, TV series and all kinds of shootings, each more artistic than the last. She has worked for Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec, V, ARTV, Astral Média, Évasion and Canal Bravo, among others. Back in Saguenay for a few years, she first opened a contemporary art gallery in La Baie, a project that would last three years. The main mission was to promote regional cultural dynamism and play a key role in the accessibility of art within her community. The gallery gradually transformed mainly into a workshop where she focuses full-time on her practice to this day. Currently in a significant and decisive stage of her career, she works under the name ANICKO and is represented in other galleries in Quebec. His work can be found in several private collections in Quebec and internationally.
